Olivia Robillard Completes Additional CBT-I Training for Insomnia Support
CBT for Insomnia Anywhere in BC
Sleep difficulties can affect far more than the night. When rest feels unpredictable, it can shape mood, stress, focus, relationships, and the way we move through the day.
Olivia Robillard has recently completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia, also known as CBT-I. This training supports her work with clients across BC who are looking for online counselling for insomnia, sleep anxiety, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation.

Supporting Sleep Through Evidence-Based Care
CBT-I is an evidence-based approach designed to support people experiencing chronic insomnia and sleep-related difficulties.
This additional training focused on practical CBT-I protocols and behavioural sleep principles, including sleep restriction, sleep consolidation, stimulus control, circadian rhythm education, sleep hygiene, and cognitive restructuring around sleep-related worry.
At Nimble, continued learning is an important part of offering thoughtful, informed, and responsive care. Olivia’s CBT-I training builds on her broader neuroscience-informed and trauma-informed approach to counselling.
What CBT for Insomnia Can Help With
CBT-I may be helpful for people who are struggling with:
Difficulty falling asleep
Waking throughout the night
Early morning awakenings
Stress-related sleep disruption
Anxiety or dread around bedtime
Feeling stuck in patterns of trying hard to sleep, but becoming more awake
For many people, insomnia is not just about sleep habits. It can be connected to stress, anxiety, burnout, hyperarousal, emotional wellbeing, and the nervous system staying on high alert.
How CBT-I Works in Counselling
CBT-I looks at the thoughts, behaviours, body patterns, and environmental cues that can keep insomnia going.
In practice, this may involve building a clearer understanding of your sleep patterns, creating more supportive routines, working with anxiety around sleep, and gently addressing the ways the body has learned to associate bedtime with stress or alertness.
Olivia integrates CBT-I with nervous system regulation and trauma-informed care, so the work can remain grounded, paced, and connected to the person’s broader experience.
