Alex Henderson

Alex Henderson - Nimble Counselling Vancouver

Alex was drawn to this work after experiencing the power of therapy firsthand—the way genuine connection can help us heal and make sense of our stories.

His approach is gentle, grounded, and always tailored to the individual. He believes clients are the experts on their own lives and meets them where they are, supporting them to move at a pace that feels right. Alex works from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive perspective, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), alongside mindfulness, embodiment, and metaphor-based tools.

He has a particular interest in men’s mental health and the complex ways gender, privilege, and expectation shape how people cope and connect. Whether it’s learning to express emotions without shame or navigating relationships with the men in their lives, Alex creates space for honest, human conversations. He also specializes in working with adults with ADHD and those navigating anxiety, OCD, addiction, social isolation, or depression.

At the heart of Alex’s work is the belief that therapy doesn’t need to feel clinical or intimidating—it can be warm, collaborative, and even lighthearted. His goal is to create a space where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

Olivia Robillard

Olivia’s approach to counselling is rooted in presence—she sees therapy as one of the few places in life where the world truly pauses, allowing space to slow down and connect with what matters most.

Her path into this work began in an equine therapy setting, where she witnessed the profound impact of human connection and the relief that can come from being seen and understood. Combined with her background in neuroscience and cognitive science, Olivia brings both empathy and a deep understanding of how the brain and body shape our experiences. This blend helps clients make sense of their struggles while cultivating self-compassion and resilience.

In her sessions, Olivia offers a semi-structured approach that provides stability and direction while allowing clients to guide the pace and focus of their own healing. She draws from person-centered, Acceptance and Commitment, and existential approaches to help people uncover their values, navigate challenges, and connect with meaning in their lives.

Olivia feels especially drawn to supporting men in developing emotional awareness and breaking down the stigma that often keeps them from seeking help. She also works with clients navigating relationships, anxiety, shame, chronic pain, and major life transitions, helping them find balance and clarity through life’s complexities.

At the heart of her work is the belief that therapy doesn’t need to feel clinical or intimidating—it can be warm, real, and even lighthearted. Olivia creates a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to take risks, and empowered to discover their own path forward.
